Me ha gustado , tiene mas miga de lo que parece, al menos hay una luz encendida en Trollhattan...
No se me habia ocurrido pensar que efectivamente mantener cerrada una fábrica tambien cuesta mucho dinero.

Disculpen por la pregunta, pero es que no termino de entender que le pasa a GM, por un lado el 9-5 no se puede volver a fabricar, SAAB ya no tiene nada que ver con ellos, Spyker posee ya plenos derechos para vender SAAB a los chinos, no entiendo realmente donde está el problema

Yo entiendo pero no soy muy entendido por lo que he podido leer en prensa, Spyker vendió SAAB a los chinos, concretamente a una compañía llamada NEVS que tiene intención de seguir fabricando el 93 pero en versión eléctrica, aunque ahora dicen que posiblemente empiezen a fabricar una versión a gasolina y otra diesel el año que viene ya que aún falta desarrollo para la versión eléctrica, además creen que todavía hay demanda para el 93 con motor de combustión y así no estaría la fabrica parada, que por lo visto cuesta un dineral de mantener. Sobre los motores he leído de todo, que usarían motores SAAB descartados por GM, un acuerdo con BMW o incluso algo sobre Mahindra.
Por otra parte Spyker ha demandado ha GM por forzar la quiebra de SAAB y boicotear su venta a los chinos. También he leído rumores sobre una futura marca con el carácter de SAAB creada por Victor Müller y varios ingenieros suecos, aunque sinceramente no creo que estén los tiempos para experimentos.

Después del acuerdo de calado llegado ayer 7 de enero, todo hace indicar que lo que actualmente es SAAB (NEVS. National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB), ha revelado una nueva estrategia para los próximos años. La central del grupo continua estando radicada en Trollhättan (Suecia) pero la producción prevista para 400.000 vehículos anuales se desarrollará en la nueva factoría en Quingdao (China). Estamos hablando de una inversión a desarrollar en los próximos años de 10 Billones de Yuan (CNY). A título informativo, a día de hoy: 1 CNY = 0,123 €.

La verdad es que de las noticias que aparecen por ahí yo no puedo deducir que Saab vaya a resucitar.

National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB
National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS) has finalized its acquisition of the main assets of Saab Automobile AB, Saab Automobile Powertrain AB and Saab Automobile Tools AB, effective August 31, 2012. The prerequisites for implementing the NEVS business plan are now in place. The acquisition includes IP rights for the Saab 9-3, IP rights for the Phoenix platform, tools, the manufacturing plant, and test and laboratory facilities. The acquisition also comprises all outstanding shares in the property company which owned the Saab facilities in Trollhättan, Sweden.
NEVS has signed a licensing agreement with Saab AB regarding the rights to use the Saab brand name for its future vehicles. The vehicle manufacturing company is named National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB, “NEVS”. The vehicles and related products and services will be named SAAB. The present logotype will not be used.
Recruitment to the management team and key positions is in progress. As of today, about 75 people have received employment offers.
NEVS is wholly owned by National Modern Energy Holdings Ltd., whose founder and principal owner is Kai Johan Jiang.
NEVS is an international consortium formed by Swedish and Chinese stakeholders. Based on existing resources and with the addition of Japanese leading edge technology, the company is establishing a new venture in Trollhättan, dedicated to development and manufacturing of electric vehicles (EVs). NEVS aims to become a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles.
Kai Johan Jiang, founder and main owner of National Modern Energy Holdings Ltd, the majority shareholder of NEVS:
“China is investing heavily in developing the EV market, which is a key driver for the ongoing technology shift to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The Chinese can increasingly afford cars; however, the global oil supply would not suffice if they all buy petroleum-fueled vehicles.
